Melamine: New technology evaluation

Client: OCI Nitrogen (The Netherlands) 

Objective: For business evaluation purposes our client requires to compare the economics of new routes to produce melamine with competitors’ (existing) technologies. 

Scope of work: Based on process PFDs, mass and energy balances and preliminary plot plans a complete scope for concept/feasibility cost estimate (25%-30%) has been generated including an equipment list, bulks and installations, site preparation requirements, construction and engineering hours, etc. Cost estimate for the new plant (technology) and existing technologies have been derived and compared.
